Goodbye Barirro Alto. We are almost packed and we are almost ready to go, or are we? Soon enough we will be on our way.

Hello Sojourn; our ship and home for the next 14 days. We haven’t sailed Seabourn for 19 years and we were looking forward to a new, exciting and pleasant experience. Once on board we checked into our suite, #534. Have a look at a series of photos of our cabin.

Sailing on the Tagus River to the Atlantic as we departed Lisbon was pleasant. In no particular order, I captured a few photos of the city. These certainly show how hilly Lisbon is.

Two of the other side of the river.

As we made our way we were entertained by a delightful group. They even moved some of us to sway to the rhythms.

We passed two historical monuments. The first is The Monument of the Discoveries. It is located on the Tagus river estuary where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient.

The second monument is the Belem Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent. The tower symbolizes Portugal’s maritime and colonial power in early modern Europe.

Goodbye Lisbon. On to A Coruña, Spain, day after tomorrow.

Once again, beautiful pictures….love, love, love your stateroom. Can’t wait for your next blog!
Thanks Barbara. Glad to see you are following along.
