We overnighted at a delightful B&B in Ennis. Ennis was a lovely town and our hostess was just wonderful. Ennis was a stopover in route to Bunratty Castle and then ultimately Galway. But, there were many stops along the way.

Bunratty Castle was built in the 15th century. It was restored, after falling into ruins, and overlooks the River Shannon. The view from the castle is spectacular. Bunratty Folk Park is just outside the castle. It is a recreation of rural Ireland at the turn of the 20th century.
