In the afternoon we caught a plane from Hanoi to Siem Reap, Cambodia, on Vietnam airways. We are staying at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Resort, which is lovely. It has accommodated many famous people since in opening in 2000. Here are a few photos of the facility, the grounds and our room. And, the staff was outstanding.

We were entertained at dinner by Apsara dancers. Apsaras, often depicted as shape-shifting nymphs, are essential to Cambodia’s cultural identity, and have been for centuries.
