As we cruised into the port of Charlotte Amalie the sun was shining on crystal blue water and multimillion dollar boats.

Our plans were to have a leisurely cappuccino and head ashore. Of course, we all have our definitions of “leisurely.” To us it means taking your time and get moving around 11AM, and we did just that.
We left cabin A520 just moments ahead of 11 o’clock to make our way to the elevator on deck 12 midship. We were headed to the gangway on deck 4. The doors slid open revealing an over abundance of passengers queued up waiting to disembark. I had no idea what they were waiting for until I noticed a man getting on the elevator with water covered glasses, wet hair and damp clothing. It was raining. Not just raining but momentary downpours. Oh well, a day on board is pleasant too.
As the saying goes, “been there, done that.”

Tomorrow we stop in St. Maarten. Hopefully it will be sunny and stay sunny.
