Vancouver is a beautiful city! JoAnn and I have been here twice before and found it to be clean, friendly, architecturally interesting and generally inviting. We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel on the waterfront at Canada Place. Holland America booked us there for a one-night layover before flying home to Philadelphia. The Pan Pacific is attached to the Vancouver Convention Center and the cruise ship pier. It has a terrific view of the harbor. The following three photos were taken from our 16th floor room.
Saint John is a lovely town and was a pleasant end to our trip. This was our third or fourth time here, always on a ship and always in the fall. This poster greeted us in the welcome hall as we went ashore.
Once outside of the Marco Polo terminal, pictured below,
I know it is repetitious but we arrived in Halifax to find another lovely day. So far our weather, with the exception of Boston, has been outstanding. We preplanned our day and started with a stroll along the board walk along the harbor. The board walk is a collection of museums, restaurants, gift shops and arcades. The harbor area is very nice and everytime we come to Halifax the stroll gets better and better; better than the time before. Here are a few shots along the way. The photos are in no particular order and no offense is intended if any of you are Halifax affectionados.
And, a few more as we continued our walk. We were on the way to the Casino of Nova Scotia.
